Is it permissible for a woman who is caring for orphans—some of whom are her own children and some the children of her husband—to use the donations and aid received for them for general expenses such as electricity and house rent, or must the donation be allocated to each orphan separately?

Donations to an orphan are their private property, to be spent solely for their benefit and not for anyone else. A gift designated for a specific orphan cannot be spent on collective interests. General expenses are distributed among the number of orphans, and each orphan's share is taken from their own money. It is permissible for the guardian of a poor orphan to partake of the orphan's wealth in a reasonable manner.
