Is it normal for lust to be stirred when reading or hearing stories of rape, while feeling sorry for the victim?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to read or listen to pornographic stories, because they contain immorality and iniquity and depict obscenity. A Muslim must restrain his sight and hearing from every evil. As for the arousal of desire when mentioning things that bring it about, this is an instinctual matter for which there is no accountability, as long as one does not intentionally read or or watch that which causes it.
