Does watching pornography diminish the acceptance of one's supplications, and how can one escape from watching forbidden things?

Watching pornographic films is a forbidden sin with serious consequences, corrupting the Muslim and leading them into indecency. One must hasten to repent to Allah from it and take the necessary steps to abandon it. Sins, even if numerous, may sometimes allow for one's prayers to be answered, though at other times they may prevent it.
