What were the tribulations and difficulties that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions faced when inviting the Quraysh to Tawhid (monotheism)?

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the disbelievers faced many difficulties due to his call, as the disbelievers of Quraish used various methods to fight his call and turn people away from it. Among the most prominent of these methods were:

1. Influencing his uncle Abu Talib: They tried to persuade Abu Talib to stop the Prophet from his call or to withdraw his protection from him. 2. Threatening to fight: Quraish threatened to fight the Prophet and his uncle Abu Talib if he did not stop his call. 3. False accusations: They accused him of madness, sorcery, lying, and bringing forth fables of the ancients, and they said that the Quran was not from God, and they accused the believers of going astray. 4. Mockery and ridicule: They mocked and ridiculed the believers. 5. Causing disruption: They would make loud noises when the Quran was recited to prevent people from hearing it and being influenced by it. 6. Demanding miracles and special privileges: They demanded supernatural miracles and privileges that normal humans do not possess. 7. Bargaining: They tried to find a compromise that involved concessions from both sides, but the Prophet refused. 8. Insulting the Quran and its revealer: They would insult the Quran, the one who revealed it, and the one who brought it when they heard it recited. 9. Contacting the Jews: They asked the Jews for challenging questions to pose to the Prophet. 10. Enticement: They offered him money, honor, and kingship in exchange for abandoning his call. 11. Intimidation: They threatened the Muslims by restricting their livelihoods and lives. 12. Physical assault: They engaged in physical assault and strangulation, and they placed filth on his back while he was prostrating. 13. Pursuing and inciting against Muslims: They pursued the emigrants to Abyssinia and tried to bring them back. 14. General boycott: They besieged the Prophet and his companions in the ravine of Abu Talib. 15. Attempted assassination: They plotted attempts to kill him and wage war against him.

These methods, which may be renewed in their content, reflect the continuity of the enemies of Islam's attempts to extinguish the light of the call and fight its callers.
