What is the ruling on dealing with a mother and sisters who commit forbidden acts and describe the one who advises them as complicated or mistaken? Is it permissible to maintain only a superficial relationship with them? And what is the ruling on a mother who accuses her daughter of not helping with housework, even though she sometimes does?

We appreciate your zeal for the sacred limits of Allah. You have done well by denouncing the evil deeds your mother and sisters commit. Therefore, continue to advise them kindly, seeking help from righteous people, and supplicating extensively for them. If a disobedient person does not benefit from advice, then boycotting (hajjr) is permissible, provided that a legitimate شرعية benefit is observed. Helping your mother with housework is an act of dutifulness (birr), so help her according to your ability to gain her رضا and to reform her.
