What is the ruling on daughters who do not help their mother, claiming that parents are not entitled to leisure trips or 'Umrah, and who rebuke her when she speaks about it, even though she complains of exhaustion when she is alone with her son?

Disobeying mothers is among the gravest of major sins. One of its ugliest manifestations is when daughters leave their mother to bear the burdens of household chores alone, using flimsy excuses. The jurists have agreed upon the obligation of obeying parents and the prohibition of disobeying them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "A severer of kin ties will not enter Paradise." The mother's right is immense, and it is incumbent upon daughters to respond to her mistreatment with patience and obedience, and not with tit-for-tat, even if they claim that they have unfulfilled rights from their mother.

The brother should advise his sisters with wisdom and good example, reminding them of the necessity of compassion towards their mother and showing her dutifulness, the greatness of its reward, and the danger of disobeying her in this world and the hereafter.
