Is a person sinful if they distance themselves from their Muslim brother who refuses to return greetings and deliberately insults, in order to preserve their dignity and avoid problems, knowing that they have tried to mend the relationship without success?
Speaking in the mosque is disliked (makrooh) by the majority of scholars, and it becomes prohibited () if it reaches the point of disturbing those who are praying. The evidence for this is what is stated in Muslim: "Beware of the commotions of the markets." And the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, each of you is supplicating his Lord, so let none of you disturb another, nor raise your voices over one another in recitation," or he said, "in prayer." If this applies to recitation, then how much more so to other forms of speech? Based on this, your refraining from such acts is legitimate (mashroo'), and there is no harm in avoiding mixing with a neighbor if he causes annoyance.
