Does feed extracted from the land (cereal straw) fall under the ruling of zakat, like dates and crops?

That which is not customarily cultivated, nor intended for the growth and exploitation of the land through its cultivation, such as grass, firewood, and seeds unfit for planting, is not subject to zakat by consensus. This includes straw, unless it is for trade, in which case it is subject to the zakat of trade goods.
