What must a divorced woman do who committed Zina despite her efforts to abstain and her attempts to prevent penetration, and her aversion to what happened, knowing that she saw a strange dream the day before the Zina? Does that dream have a connection to what happened? And what is the ruling on her disapproval of penetration and her aversion to it during the act?

You have committed a great sin, but the door of repentance is open to every sinner. Be sincere in your repentance by abandoning the sin, resolving never to return to it, and feeling deep remorse. Do not tell anyone about it. If your repentance is sincere, Allah will erase the effects of this sin from you, for “the one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin.” As for your dream, we have no knowledge of its interpretation. Repentance erases sin, so increase in acts of obedience. We advise you to hasten to marry, and if it is not possible, then increase in fasting, remembrance of Allah (dhikr), and supplication (du’a), and associate with righteous women.
