What are the virtues of the noble Companion Ammar ibn Yasir, may Allah be pleased with him?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Love of the Companions is from faith, and hatred of them is from hypocrisy. Ammar ibn Yasir is among the early Companions who participated in Badr and who were tortured for the sake of Allah—he, his father, and his mother Sumayyah, whose mother was the first martyr in Islam. Ammar witnessed all the battles with the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. The Prophet swore that Allah had protected him from Satan, and that he was filled with faith to his core. The Prophet commanded the Ummah to follow his guidance, as he was a jurist and an ascetic. The Prophet, peace be upon him, informed that Ammar would be killed by the transgressing party, and he gave glad tidings to him and his family of Paradise. He was martyred in Siffin at the age of ninety-three.
