Does anything become incumbent upon one who intended 'Umrah, reached the Miqat, then went to Jeddah for some of his affairs before entering into a state of Ihram?

If a man passes the Miqat intending Umrah, he must offer a sacrifice (dam) for not entering into ihram from the Miqat, unless he returns to the Miqat and enters into ihram from there, in which case he owes nothing. If he does not return and instead enters into ihram from Jeddah, he must offer a fidyah (expiation) to be distributed among the poor of Makkah. However, if he abandons the Umrah altogether and does not enter into ihram for it, he owes nothing, unless he has never performed Umrah before, in which case he would have violated the obligation of Umrah.
