Will the whispers within myself be considered disbelief, and is attempting to recall these whispers an act of disbelief?

Indeed, the word "salām" (peace) is a common term that is not exclusive to the name of Allah the Almighty. Rather, it is applied to every good and blessing. It is also one of the beautiful names of Allah, meaning that He, Glory be to Him, is free from every flaw, defect, and imperfection. When we say: "As-salāmu 'alayk" (Peace be upon you), the meaning is a supplication for safety from evils, or that the name As-Salām is upon you, or seeking refuge and protection in Allah.
