The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, guided youth to marriage, and for those who cannot afford it, to fasting. He did not guide them to masturbation. Also, engaging in phone sex is forbidden, as it is a means to haram. A Muslim should seek Allah's help and pursue legitimate avenues, safeguarding his private parts through marriage, or through fasting for those who cannot, and should avoid places that arouse desire and lower his gaze and hearing from forbidden things. Masturbation invalidates fasting during Ramadan days, entails sin, and necessitates making up the fast.
