The Holy Quran established the most sublime methods of dialogue with adversaries, such as His Almighty's sayings: (And speak to people good [words]) and (And argue with them in a way that is best). Dialogue should involve choosing the best approach, respecting the opponent, and mentioning points of agreement. Fairness and gentleness towards the opponent are evident in His Almighty's saying: (And indeed, either we or you are rightly guided or in manifest error), and His saying: (Say, 'You will not be asked about what we committed, nor will we be asked about what you do'), an approach aimed at being gentle with the adversary to appease their stubbornness. This method is considered a model in the etiquette of debate, as mentioned by Sayyid Qutb, and contributes to inspiring calm contemplation and deep conviction.
