Can coffee and Coca-Cola be considered prohibited intoxicants based on the principle "that which intoxicates in large quantities is unlawful in small quantities," or do they have rulings different from those of intoxicants, and is there a consideration for intoxicants other than that for intoxicants?

What matters in determining whether a drink is forbidden is not its classification as a drug, especially if the classification is in a non-Muslim country. Rather, what matters is establishing whether it is an intoxicant. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stated: "Whatever intoxicates in large quantities, a small quantity of it is unlawful." The majority of scholars have agreed that all intoxicants are forbidden, whether in large or small quantities, contrary to the Hanafis. Ibn Qudamah mentioned that every intoxicant is forbidden, whether in large or small quantities, and it carries the same ruling as wine. It is important to note that intoxication might coincide with the consumption of a certain drink and have a cause other than that drink; this is not included in what has been mentioned.
