The answer

A menstruating woman makes up for missed fasts but not for missed prayers during her period, based on the statement of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her: "We were commanded to make up for fasts but not commanded to make up for prayers." If making up for obligatory prayers is not legislated, then making up for voluntary prayers is even less so. Obligatory prayers must be made up if missed, but voluntary prayers do not have to be made up. The questioner should fulfill her promise to perform the Sunnah prayers, but if she occasionally omits them, there is no sin upon her.
