Is it obligatory to make up missed prayers during menstruation after becoming pure?

Muslims have unanimously agreed that a menstruating woman is prohibited from praying and is not required to make up (qada') her prayers. They based this on the agreed-upon Hadith of Aisha: "We were commanded to make up for the fast but were not commanded to make up for the prayer." Ibn al-Mundhir and others have transmitted the consensus of the scholars on this matter. The claim that a menstruating woman making up her prayers is a sign of eagerness is a corrupt statement, for if it were good, the noble Companions would have preceded us in it. Imam Ahmad explicitly stated that a menstruating woman making up her prayers is "contrary to the Sunnah." It is obligatory for a Muslim to adhere to what Allah and His Messenger have legislated, without addition or subtraction, in obedience to His (Allah's) saying: "The only statement of the believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, 'We hear and we obey.' And those are the successful."
