What is the authenticity of the hadiths narrated concerning the Prophet’s supplication for the people of Oman, asking for blessings, and Mazin bin Ghaduba’s request for an increase in that? Are there other authentic hadiths regarding the virtues of Oman?

The Ahadith (narrations) regarding the virtues of the people of Oman are divided into three categories:

1. Authentic (Sahih): One Hadith narrated by Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "(If you were to go to the people of Oman, they would not insult you nor beat you)." Its meaning is that they are people of knowledge, chastity, and steadfastness.

2. Slightly Weak (Da'if): Such as the Hadith narrated by Al-Hasan bin Hadiyah from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "(Indeed, I know of a land called Oman, by whose side the sea gushes forth; a single Hajj from there is better than two Hajj from elsewhere)." This chain of narration is weak due to Al-Hasan bin Hadiyah. Nevertheless, the preference for Hajj from there is due to its distance from Mecca, not to a virtue in the place itself.

3. Fabricated (Mawdu') or Baseless: These are Ahadith that are not mentioned in the books of Sunnah and are circulated by some Ibadi books without attribution to reliable sources.
