What is the ruling regarding a wife who left her first husband without his permission and successively married two other men, then left them as well? Is she considered an adulteress, an apostate, or an unbeliever, and therefore divorced from her first husband even though he did not divorce her? And how can the first husband release her from his marital bond?

If a woman leaves her husband's home without a valid excuse, she is defiant and disobedient, and the husband has the right to discipline her.

If she marries another man while still under the legal marital bond of her first husband, her marriage is null and void, and she is an adulteress if she knows of its prohibition. Apostasy is not ruled unless she deems this act permissible.

The husband should divorce her if she is negligent in fulfilling Allah's rights or is unchaste.

The way to separate from her is through divorce or khul' (divorce at the wife's instance) in exchange for compensation.
