Is it permissible to gift the reward of fasting, reciting the Qur’an, or giving charity to another person, and are there specific supplications for guidance?

It is permissible to dedicate the reward of reciting the Quran or other acts of worship to a Muslim, whether living or deceased. Mustafa Al-Ruhaibani Al-Hanbali said: "Every act of worship performed by a Muslim, and the Muslim dedicates its reward or part of it, by intention, to a living or deceased Muslim, is permissible, and it benefits them by them receiving the reward."

Al-Mardawi Al-Hanbali stated: "The living, in all that preceded, are like the dead in their benefiting from supplication and the like, as well as from recitation and the like."

Al-Zayla'i Al-Hanafi affirmed that a person may dedicate the reward of their deeds to another, according to the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (People of the Sunnah and the Community), whether it be prayer, fasting, Hajj, Quran recitation, or remembrances (dhikr). This reaches the deceased and benefits them.

However, supplicating for a Muslim for guidance and righteousness is more virtuous, and the performer of the deed is more entitled to the reward of their action. Allah Almighty guides whom He wills: "Indeed, you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided." (Al-Qasas: 56).

Strive in supplicating for those you love. If Allah guides him and he becomes upright and wishes to marry, there is no objection. Otherwise, do not grieve, and ask Allah to grant you a spouse who is religious and of good character, in accordance with the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If someone whose religion and character you are pleased with proposes to you, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption."

The feelings you find towards the suitor may be from Satan to tempt you, as Satan may want to tempt you and lead you astray from the right path because he dislikes chastity and desires seduction and deviation.
