Is it permissible for someone suffering from obsessive doubts (al-mawsoos) to adopt the easier opinion regarding a fatwa concerning divorce, if the muftis differ on whether it is indeed obsessive doubt or not, and he himself is convinced that it is not obsessive doubt?
If a trustworthy scholar issues a fatwa to him that his divorce does not count, then he may act upon that fatwa in order to cut off the whispers (waswasah), for the divorce uttered due to waswasah does not count.
