How can I pray while holding the Mushaf, knowing that prostrating upon the Mushaf is forbidden, and I do not have the Qur'an memorized?
It is permissible to read from the Mus'haf (Qur'an) during prayer. When bowing (rukūʿ) and prostrating (sujūd), the Mus'haf should be placed on a shelf or stand next to the worshipper, in a manner befitting the Mus'haf's veneration and sanctity. The worshipper should not hold the Mus'haf in their hand and prostrate on it, nor should they place it on the ground, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) placed the Torah on a cushion out of respect for it.
