What is the ruling on boycotting prayer in the mosque if the only imam of the mosque does not pray with a sense of tranquility?

The development of mosques is achieved by building them according to the Sunnah (definition), and by preserving them through care, cleanliness, and maintenance, and by worshipping in them and performing prayers, and by keeping their doors always open, and by establishing lessons and teaching people. The Prophet’s Mosque, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, was a center for prayer, learning, public gatherings, and leading the Ummah. Whoever hinders the mosque from its role has indeed striven for its ruin, in fulfillment of the Almighty’s saying: "And who is more unjust than one who prevents the mosques of Allah from being remembered therein is His name and strives for their ruin? Those [preventers] should not enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment." [Al-Baqarah: 114]. The most deserving of people to lead the prayer (Imamah) is the one among them who is most knowledgeable of Allah’s Book (Quran), and if they are equal, then the one who is most knowledgeable of the Sunnah. The Imam and others must be deliberate and tranquil in prayer and recite the Quran melodiously. One should not discontinue attending the mosque as long as the Imam’s prayer is sound and includes the necessary tranquility.
