Can I ask about the parents' anger?

Displeasing one's parents is among the highest degrees of disobedience (Uqooq) and is one of the gravest major sins. Islam has forbidden any word that might harm them, even the word "uff." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Lord's pleasure is in the parents' pleasure, and the Lord's displeasure is in the parents' displeasure." Therefore, scholars avoid enjoining good and forbidding evil with parents if it leads to displeasing them.
