Is it obligatory to relieve oneself to alleviate incontinence, and what is the ruling if that causes hardship or there is not enough time for prayer?

Some scholars, particularly the Malikis, hold the view that a person afflicted with سلس ( سلس البول: سلس البول ) must seek medical treatment if possible; otherwise, their سلس would invalidate their ablution. Accordingly, it is necessary to go to the restroom as long as it is possible to stop the سلس, so that one can perform prayers with a valid and sound state of purity. If you are unable to do so, then your ruling is that of a person afflicted with سلس: you pray with your ablution until the time for that prayer expires.
