Is there anything mentioned in Sharia that helps in conceiving a male child?

To have offspring, one can supplicate with the du'a of Prophet Zachariah (peace be upon him): "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication." [Aal 'Imran:38], or "My Lord, do not leave me alone [without an heir], while you are the best of inheritors." [Al-Anbiya:89], and the du'a of Abraham, the Intimate Friend of Allah (peace be upon him): "My Lord, grant me [a child] from the righteous." [As-Saffat:100].

Also, the supplication of Dhul-Nun, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers," brings about a response. Frequent seeking of forgiveness is a means of being blessed with offspring and wealth, as Allah the Almighty says: "And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers and give you increase in wealth and children and make for you gardens and make for you rivers.'" [Noah:10-12].

As for a specific du'a to have a male child, it has not been reported in the authentic traditions.
