Is it permissible to touch a Mus-haf covered with an embroidered cloth on which names are written, without Wudu', or to place it on an impure spot with this cloth acting as a barrier?

If the Mus'haf (copy of the Qur'an) is covered with cloth, scholars have differed regarding the permissibility of touching it for someone who is not in a state of ritual purity (wudu'). However, placing the Mus'haf on an impure bed or touching it with something impure is not permissible. The Book of Allah must be revered and protected from impurities.
