What is the reality of the voice that the questioner sometimes hears, and is it truthful or the voice of an infidel jinn? And is what happened to him, seeing a hand strangling him, among the things that jinn are capable of doing? And do hating Satan, bearing malice towards him, and wishing to fight him on the Day of Resurrection cause jinn to gain power over him?

"Hearing voices from phones is possible. Their source could be a believing jinn, a lying devil, or an angel. These 'phones' are not to be relied upon in matters of Islamic law, but one may find comfort in them if the listener is righteous.
