Is it possible that the Quran was stolen by the jinn and they altered its meaning, and does God lead people astray by His will?

A shubha (doubt/misconception) is a problem and an ambiguity that confuses the mind, not mere fleeting thoughts or whispers from Satan. Jinn cannot steal the entire Qur’an; this is not possible. The Qur’an is the word of Allah, preserved from alteration by His verses: (إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ) "Indeed, it is We who sent down the Dhikr (the Qur’an), and indeed, We will be its Guardian." Satanic whispers about the Qur’an are an insult to Allah and attribute imperfection to Him. It is impossible for devils to inspire the Qur’an, which contradicts their desires, and they are cut off from hearing. These whispers are baseless. The cure lies in trusting the tools of knowledge that Allah has bestowed upon us and not delving deeply except into genuine scientific matters. One should seek refuge in Allah and desist from these whispers. Righteous deeds and beneficial knowledge remove shubuhat, and what remains important is preparation for the accountability before Allah.
