Was the Prophet the first of creation, made from light, and was creation solely for his sake?

If the description of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a light from God’s light is intended to mean that he is a self-existent light from God’s light, then this contradicts the Quran, which affirms his human nature. However, if it is intended to mean that he is a light in the sense of the revelation he brought, which became a cause for the guidance of whomever God willed among creation, then this is correct. The Prophet (peace be upon him) is a light of message and guidance, and Allah Almighty said: (And thus We have revealed to you a spirit of Our command. You had no idea what the Scripture was or what faith was, but We made it a light by which We guide whomever We will of Our servants. And indeed, you guide to a straight path.)

As for his physical body (peace be upon him), it is flesh, blood, and bone, created from a father and a mother, and he had no prior creation before his birth. Reports claiming that the first thing Allah created was the light of the Prophet (peace be upon him), or that Allah took a handful from the light of His Face and that this handful was Muhammad (peace be upon him), or that all creation was created from his light (peace be upon him), are baseless and not authentically reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him). Such beliefs are invalid.

Similarly, the reported phrases "I am Arab without an 'ain'" or "I am Ahmad without a 'mim'" have no basis in authenticity. The attribute of Lordship and absolute uniqueness are qualities exclusive to Allah Almighty. It is not permissible for any created being to be described as the Lord or as absolutely unique.

The heavens and the earth were not created for his sake (peace be upon him). Rather, they were created for what Allah Almighty mentioned in His glorious statement: (It is Allah who created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them. His command descends between them so that you may know that Allah is over all things competent and that Allah has encompassed all things in knowledge.) As for the hadith: "Were it not for you, I would not have created the celestial spheres," it is a fabrication falsely attributed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and has no basis in authenticity.
