Is it permissible for a pregnant woman to break her fast in Ramadan due to severe thirst, given that this month falls during the summer?

If the reason for breaking the fast is extreme thirst, then there is no sin in that; for extreme thirst necessitates breaking the fast, just like illness. Scholars have mentioned that the excuses that waive sin include extreme hunger and thirst, based on the Almighty's saying: "And He has not placed upon you in religion any difficulty."
