Is it permissible to read the Mus'haf while doing household chores?

Reciting the Qur'an as it should be recited involves the tongue in articulating the letters correctly, the mind in interpreting the meanings, and the heart in being admonished and affected. It is sunnah (definition) to sit for recitation with reverence, humility, contemplation, and tranquility. It is permissible to recite while walking and doing household chores, provided there is no distraction, with an effort to contemplate as much as possible, and as inferred from the Almighty's saying: "those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides."
