What makes me look at forbidden things, and return to them after repentance?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah created man for His worship, and man is weak, surrounded by enemies. He must resort to Allah to help him remember Him, be grateful to Him, and worship Him well, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, guided Abu Bakr and Mu'adh ibn Jabal. A Muslim must frequently repent to Allah, for Allah says: ﴿And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed﴾, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By Allah, I seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day." So, whoever returns to sin should frequently repent, for the door of repentance is open until the sun rises from its west, and before the death rattle. Repentance has conditions that must be met, and a Muslim must strive against his soul, distance himself from the causes of disobedience, and persistently supplicate.
