What should a mother do who has forbidden herself from visiting neighbors and wearing gold, and now wishes to do so?

The mother is obligated to offer an expiation for an oath (kaffarat yamin), based on the Almighty's saying: (O Prophet! Why do you prohibit [for yourself] what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful), so the prohibition was called an oath. And the expiation for an oath is that mentioned in the Almighty's saying: (Its expiation is the feeding of ten poor people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. But whoever finds not, then a fast of three days...).
