What is the Shar'i (Islamic legal) opinion regarding a woman who is subjected to physical abuse, verbal abuse, humiliation, and financial exploitation by her unemployed husband, which has affected her psychological and physical health, and she is considering seeking a divorce to protect her rights, so what should she do?

Men must treat their wives well and emulate the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who never hit a woman. Furthermore, a wife's money is her own property, and her husband is not permitted to dispose of it except with her consent.

The wife should be patient and address the matter with wisdom, calm dialogue, and supplication, strengthening her husband's faith and refining his character. If this does not work, she is permitted to seek divorce to remove the harm from herself. If that is not possible, she should resort to the judge to appoint two arbitrators.
