It is not true that a woman dreaming of someone other than her husband engaging in intercourse with her constitutes zina (unlawful sexual intercourse); for dreams are not of one's own earning. The error lies in the heart's inclination towards someone other than the husband, as this is forbidden, an act of disobedience to the Lord, and a betrayal of the husband. A wife asking her husband to grow a beard and improve his voice in reciting the Quran are good matters, as long as they are not accompanied by her heart inclining towards someone else. Similarly, the husband has the right to ask his wife to adorn herself for him.
