When is the forefinger raised during the Tashahhud and the Abrahamic prayer: Is it from beginning to end, or only upon saying, "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger," or from saying, "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger" until the end?

The jurists differed on when to begin and end raising the index finger during the tashahhud. The Hanafis held that it should be raised at "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no god but Allah). The Malikis maintained that it should be raised and moved from the beginning of the tashahhud until its end. The Shafi'is were of the opinion that it should be raised at "illa Allah" (but Allah) until standing up from the first tashahhud or making the salutations after the second tashahhud. The Hanbalis held that it should be raised when mentioning Allah Almighty. There is no explicit evidence on this matter, and what appears to be correct is to raise it throughout the entire tashahhud, as mentioned in the hadiths.
