Is it permissible to break the oath of a father who swore not to wake his son for Fajr prayer, and is lying permissible in this case, and does the father’s statement, “I will not forgive you,” have any legal implications?

There is a difference of opinion regarding the obligation to awaken a sleeping person for prayer, and the permissibility of disobeying a father if he forbids an act over whose ruling there is a difference of opinion.

The preponderant view is that obedience to the father is obligatory, unless he intends to absolutely prevent the awakening. However, if the act is done believing it to be obligatory, there is no sin, but an apology to the father is due.

Lying is forbidden. In such a situation, one can use allusive or ambiguous speech (ma'arid and tawriya) instead of lying to achieve the objective.
