Does not our current reality demand an intellectual revolution to purify Islam from the dross of eras of decline, and to present it in a way that enables it to contain and refine Western civilization?

Allah has bestowed upon this Ummah (nation) the religion that united and revitalized it, making it formidable. Allah says: "And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies, and He brought your hearts together, and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it." (Quran 3:103). And His saying: "We have certainly sent down to you a Book in which is your mention. Then will you not reason?" (Quran 21:10). Corruption has crept into the Ummah, causing it to weaken and decline. Its glory and might will not return until it reverts to its religion as brought by the Messenger, peace be upon him, pure from innovations. Imam Malik said: "The latter part of this Ummah will not be rectified except by that which rectified its first part."
