Is it permissible to close the Friday mosque and pray in another for the sake of the funeral prayer?

If a person is responsible for opening and closing the mosque, it is not permissible for him to close it to pray elsewhere, even if the intention is to pray the funeral prayer, because doing so constitutes a dereliction of his duty and causes harm to the worshippers. He must fulfill the trust placed upon him. Attending a funeral prayer is not an obligation that justifies neglecting one's duty. If he can combine both matters, then he should do so; otherwise, he should prioritize fulfilling his trust.
