Is the prayer of one who smokes hashish not accepted for forty nights, by analogy with one who drinks alcohol, and is his fasting in Ramadan accepted if he consumed it thirty days before Ramadan?

Consuming hashish incurs the same warning as drinking alcohol, as hashish is a type of intoxicant. If a Muslim fasts Ramadan (definition) sincerely and in anticipation of reward, while abstaining from nullifiers, Allah willing, He will accept it. Drinking alcohol is not a reason for the invalidation of the reward for fasting Ramadan. However, the drinker must repent to Allah, cease the act, and regret it. He should also utilize the holy month by fasting, performing night prayers, and supplicating to Allah for repentance.
