Is working for a company that manufactures CD discs, which may contain Islamic programs, songs, movies, or children's games, without differentiating their content, considered permissible (halal), forbidden (haram), or doubtful (shubha)?

It is not permissible to work in the field of disc production unless the company exclusively produces permissible content and does not deal with forbidden content. If the company mixes permissible and forbidden content in its production, then it is not permissible to work with it, in order to avoid participating in sin and transgression, due to the great burdens that result from it by spreading evil and falsehood. A Muslim must abstain from such work because of the danger it poses to generations. "The basic principle is that it is not permissible to professionally engage in an inherently forbidden act, nor to professionally engage in what leads to the forbidden, or what assists in it," and "seeking the permissible is an obligation upon every Muslim."
