What is the ruling on clothes bought with ill-gotten money, and is it permissible to distribute them to the needy, or must they be burned?

Unlawful money necessitates repentance and giving away its equivalent. Whatever was bought with it, be it clothes or other items, is permissible to use. If the money belongs to a specific person, it must be returned to them, even if by selling the clothes. If returning it is impossible, or if it belongs to no specific person (like bank interest), then it should be given as charity to the poor and needy. Destroying the clothes is not permissible.
