The reference for this salary matter is the entity that pays it. If the entity's condition or custom dictates depriving the absent person of it, then it is not permissible to take it. However, if the entity's regulation does not prevent someone who is absent from taking the salary, or if the consideration for them is learning, or if they have given you permission to take it with their knowledge of your absence, then you may take it at that time.
