"The lustful gaze" is when the gazer finds a sexual inclination towards the one being looked at. This is absolutely forbidden, regardless of whether the one being looked at is beautiful or not. This gaze does not necessitate the emission of pre-seminal fluid () or thinking about intercourse, but it is a pathway to it. For the adultery of the eye is the gaze, and the adultery of the tongue is speech. The soul wishes and desires, and the private parts either confirm or deny all of that.
