What is the intention required from a student of Islamic knowledge and a non-religious student? And is it obligatory to memorize Quranic verses that are not required for memorization in the curricula?

A student can bring to mind several good intentions while studying, including the intention of honoring one's parents and bringing joy to them, and the intention of achieving good grades to join a specialization that benefits oneself and Muslims, and to be a good role model for others, demonstrating that righteousness does not prevent excellence. As for memorizing verses, it is not obligatory except when one wishes to quote them, as it is not permissible to recite the Qur'an by its meaning.
