Have I erred in saying that creed is more important than memorizing the Quran, and that memorizing it is of no benefit without a sound creed? Am I sinful for not having memorized the entire Quran, or is it sufficient for me to read it and memorize what I use in prayer, with the possibility of memorizing it later without sin? And what is the ruling on my saying to my neighbor, "Have you not taught them the Quran to memorize?" intending to denounce?

Memorizing the Holy Quran is a great good, and it suffices to explain this by what Ahmad and Al-Tirmidhi narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It will be said to the reciter of the Quran: 'Read and ascend, and recite as you used to recite in the worldly life, for your status is at the last verse you recite.'" And his saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "The best among you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it."

Nothing from the Quran is obligatory to memorize except Al-Fatiha, because the validity of prayer depends on its recitation, due to the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Mother of the Book [Al-Fatiha]."

Whoever memorizes the Quran or a part of it must review it, for Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Indeed, forgetting the Quran is among sins."

If an adult is ignorant of the obligatory rulings of Sharia related to beliefs and acts of worship, then it is obligatory for him to prioritize learning these matters over memorizing the Quran, with the exception of Al-Fatiha.

The statement "The one who memorizes the entire Quran without a sound creed will not enter Paradise" is an incorrect generalization.

It is not obligatory to complete the recitation of the Quran within a specific period, but it is disliked to delay completing the Quran for more than forty days.

It is obligatory to instill the love of memorizing the Quran in the hearts of children for the sake of the Quran itself, and there is no objection to motivating them with some rewards.
