Is it permissible to return injustice with injustice to get rid of the pain of injustice?

Forgiveness is closer to piety, and Allah loves those who forgive people. Whoever forgives, Allah will forgive him; and whoever pardons, Allah will pardon him. The recompense is of the same nature as the deed. If the wronged person wishes to take his right, he is permitted to do so without transgressing the limits of Allah. Allah the Almighty says: "And if you punish [an enemy], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were punished." If seeking victory does not guarantee safety from injustice and transgression, then peace and abandoning victory are more appropriate.
