Is forgiveness, while injustice persists, a true forgiveness, or is it a disgrace?

If forgiveness is out of embarrassment and not from a good heart, then it is not considered forgiveness, for a right taken out of shyness is like a right taken by force. It is preferred to forgive those who have wronged you, seeking Allah's reward and forgiveness, for the recompense is of the same nature as the deed, as Allah the Almighty said: "And whoever is patient and forgives, indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination" (Quran 42:43), and His saying: "If you disclose a good deed or conceal it or pardon an evil [deed], indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Competent" (Quran 4:149). It is permissible to seek victory and take your right from those who have wronged you.
