How should the oppressed deal with the injustice inflicted upon them: by forgiving, by supplicating with the prayer of the oppressed, or by doing nothing, taking into account Allah’s saying: {And whatever evil befalls you is from yourself}, and its interpretation that injustice is a result of the oppressed person's actions? How does this reconcile with the supplication of the oppressed?

It is better for the wronged to pardon and forgive in order to attain the reward of the patient and to gain Allah's companionship and aid, as corroborated by His exalted saying: "So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah." It is permissible for the wronged to supplicate against the oppressor or to retaliate in kind without transgression, as He, the Most High, said: "And the retribution for an evil is an evil equivalent to it." The status of forgiveness is the highest of statuses and the best of choices due to the immense reward it entails.
